I just double checked things here and I'm worried that this fix is working only with columns defined in Library, not when you are shared Site Ccolumns.

I our system all problematic fields were same betweeen libraries. Set call columd/field as "SharedMultiline".

If I compare  $field.SourceId value between working libraries here  all of them have $web.$lib.$field['SharedMultiline'].SourceID value same GUI like {daldjlajda-asdasd---...}.

Now with your fix, value will be different between libraries.All tought  DIPseems to work, but it does not get correct default value from library settings.

I'll do some testing and post back.

I don't know why I didn't see, '2147943645' and immediately think, "...must've forgotten to unclick the logged in box".  Now, of course had it been, '2147750696' I would have been all over it. 

(Seriously, Microsoft, do you hate dbs's that much?  It's bad enough to only give us a cryptic numeric code, but then to only list the error codes in decimal when the one displayed by the process is in hex...that's just mean.)

I have a kinect!  i love it, but i currently live in an apartment.  My problem is the kids toy set is on the ground.  If my boy doesnt play with the toy set, he is in the sensor's way.  Anyway, I still have to figure out how to get that all to work.  Thanks for your advice on putting the sensor on the top of the television.

Provided this has been posted a while back, I'm crossing fingers that you will check this page somehow.  I'm getting the same error that you have; tried to isolate not serializable class members but wasn't able to locate any.  Besides even if I found one, I probabyl wouldn't be able to mark them as private because they are mentioned and therefore read by objects inside the designer.

This workflow is Microsoft's sample solution too, that I got from their site.  The code that they provide is exactly the same with mine (as far as public/private members and everything else).

If you have any suggestions, please let me know!!!

Well there you go - just looks like Im plain wrong about that.

At the time I remembered the Microsoft Research video coming out and then the Apple Mouse being released - and I thought it was a bit fishy.

From reading that summary it looks as though the Apple patent is for an optical system to detect multi-touch, and the Microsoft unit is capacitive.  Both multi-touch, just different implementations.

I'm pretty sure the timing of the Microsoft Research presentation is no accident - and most probably to make sure Microsoft's patent on the technology goes through.

Mine arrived yesterday as well. I have to admit the gestures have become second nature already and I found myself trying to gesture on my normal Arc Touch Mouse yesterday arvo.

I would like to see a few more gestures, but I guess they will come and I understand there is an SDK.

BTW, I got mine from ota.com.au very impressed with the speed of delivery.

All in all, I am very impressed.

The idea of pinning is that you want to access the actual site in question. You aren't really using website securely if you login even when the SSL cert is broken. If you are someone who could fis this, rather than a normal user who can only patiently endure the outage, you should need to take extra steps if such an eventuality occurs to ensure that you are safe - and this protection keeps the lazy from mindlessly clicking the button anyway (as you apparently yearn to).

Actually I opened up the connector on the cable and from the look of the dodgey soldering I think it looks like I built the cable - but I may have used yours as a reference.  Also, my cable seems to be about 10 metres long - very excessive.

Well the unhandled Javascript error may cause the rest of the Javascript not to run.  As it is I have noticed some odd behaviour in while editing RTE fields - but I don't know how much of this is caused by this bug.

Basically if your client is okay with seeing the error in their browser, then its probably best not to install the fix and wait for the official patch to come out.

Yes - but as far as I know your HD7 is an unlocked import and has not had a carrier ROM loaded.

The registry key that controls which operator the phone appears to be on is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\MobileOperator

Alas its restricted and cannot be modified on my Dev Unlocked device :(

My HD7 has the update (on Optus), however my HD7 Pro (a.k.a HTC Arrive) does not...  The US devices have it... as verified at the Microsoft Store in Seattle :-)

Thanks for that info - makes alot of sense.  The Venue Pro is a great device idea, with no other devices having that Blackberry profile - so I am glad it exists.  I have worked with other Dell Windows Mobile devices in the past (the Atom) and there were driver problems back then with its camera, so I am not surprised they are having a few problems, as the higher system performance requirements with Windows Phone 7 will expose immature drivers.

When invoking SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges, the delegated code runs under the current context's application pool identity account.  Shared Services typically run under another application pool with a different identity account.

So when you try to get user profile info, the current app pool account doesn't have sufficient permissions.

One quick fix: 
Give the application pool account from which you call your code the "Manage User Profiles" permission in SSP administration.

The "correct" way:
Create an SPSite object with the token from the SSP app pool user (or another user with sufficient permissions).  Pass that SPSite into the SPServiceContext and then into the UserProfileManager.

Oh and another thing, this security constraint seems to have appeared in SP2!

PropertyNotFound error

Use LongRunningOperationJob to change the message during the processing to let the user know which part of the Long Operation it was up to.

If the value you are using is only for redirecting purposes, then while creating column with the internal column name 'Author' (in this case), then you can create the column of type Account,Email etc.
